Some years ago a group of lads talked about doing their version of the Feyenoord club anthem ‘Hand in Hand’. As they were all into Oi music it was clear what it was gonna sound like.
They started rehearsing, mostly covers of classic Oi bands like Cock Sparrer and the 4-Skins.
Now all they needed was a name. It didn’t take long before they came up with Foienoord, because it showed the dedication to both Feyenoord and Oi. The lyrics dealt with all things concerning the club and its loyal fans.
What started as some kind of project turned into a real band when they started working on an album and doing live gigs.
This took the lads to Germany, Switzerland and Italy, where they played true to the Feyenoord motto ‘action not words’.

2008 sees the release of the second full length, simply titled ‘2’.
Gigs are still few and far between, so make sure you go and see them when they are in your neighborhood!
